David Storrs - Sedona Sunrise (1985)

Another release from David Storrs! This time, rather than being progressive new age, this is true new age/ ambient. Enjoy, from 1985, Sedona Sunrise.
David Storrs - Sedona Sunrise (1985)

From press release: Inspired by the Sedona Arizona, energy vortexes. Imagine yourself at sunrise in the beautiful, high desert environment. Experience awakening in the vortex at sunrise; watch as the sun's first rays fall across the red rock canyon walls. Side 2 is "Night In The Vortex." A mystical wooden flute, a harp and ethereal voices merge.

  2. WOW I have this on cassette and really loved it back in the day. I was looking online for it and found the download of the mp3 of this great music from you kind folks. Sounds really good, better than I remember the cassette sounding. I really love the use of guitars in this kind of music. THANKS VERY MUCH!!!

  3. I've had this incredible music on cassette since the 80's and about 10+ years ago made an attempt to convert my cassette to digital. With a a little cleanup, it was pretty good but today I stumbled on this page. Wow! You must have either found the original studio recordings or you did an outstanding job in the lab cleaning it up. This 320 bit is crisp and rich!
Sedona Sunrise is one of those pieces that stands the test of time. The first track with the soaring guitar work atop a synth beat and organic instruments is powerful. The ambient second track fits the night feel of the desert. It sounds like whistling under the starry night sky of Sedona. I get it because I live here!

    Many thanks!
