David Ison - Ison Sleep System: Sleep & Relax (2009)

I usually don't like listening to new age recording from past 2003, as I have always thought that electronic music began to decline rapidly after that year. (Music from now-a-days, forget it. That garbage is a mockery of good electronic music.) However, this 2009 album by David Ison is PERFECT. Perfect as in it's relaxing, beautiful, and it really helps me fall asleep. I love listening to all of my collection when I lie in bed, but this one seems to help me fall asleep faster than all the others. Just listen- You'll love it.

Gentle Persuasion - Electrifying Thunderstorms (1987) FIXED LINK

Another CD I found at a thrift store, this one is a nice field recording of a thunderstorm. The thunder is pretty loud too. It's nice to listen to in the background, you really feel like there's a storm going on right by you!

Glad I found it at the thrift store!

Karl Schaffner & Lothar Grimm - Meditation: Music For Relaxing (Date Unknown)

Karl Schaffner and Lothar Grimm make more great ambient music together in this album. It was re-released in 2013, but I do not know when the original release of this album was. You'll enjoy this one.

David Storrs & Tony Selvage - Harmonic Dreamtime (Year Unknown)

This is a straight-up new age album featuring David Storrs and an artist named Tony Selvage. This one is beautiful and it's definitely worth a listen. The two work very well together in these songs.
(Sorry about the brief description, it's late and I have had a couple albums to put up tonight.)

Karl Schaffner - Mountains In The Sea (1984)

A mid 1980s Karl Schaffner, yet another classic released on Isis. I may have too look more into this label to see what other artists put out tapes on it!

This album is a great relaxing sound, Lothar Grimm's name is nowhere to be found on the tape art so I assume this is a solo release from Karl.

Enjoy the great "Mountains In The Sea!"

Dick Sutphen - 3 Altered-State Experiments (2000)

Altered-State hypnosis/meditation tape by Dick Sutphen, features music from David Naegele's Journey out of the body on track 1, Upper Astral's Crystal Cave: Return To Atlantis on track 2, and unknown music on track 3. Truth be told I haven't tried using these for meditation or anything yet but I plan to.

Valley Of the Sun Publishing's - Only Subliminals - Confidence & Positive Thinking (1990) FIXED LINK

This tape features excerpts taken from David Naegele's "Dreams of Atlantis", but also includes more music I have never heard before. It's worth a listen, it has subliminal messaging in it I assume- I haven't listened close enough yet.

Only Subliminals (This is the correct link)

Karl Schaffner - Flying Carpet (1984)

Happy Cinco De Mayo! Today we have a great spacey electronic album from Karl Schaffner (With a hint of guitar and traditional instruments!) It is entitled "Flying Carpet" and it was released on Isis in '84/ It has some great tracks on it, such as the ethereal "Passage", the jovial "Sailing" and the guitar backed chilled out "Longitude", among many others. I certainly recommend a listen. Lothar Grimm helps out on this album, much like some of Karl's past works I have posted.

My computer is going through some problems so there are a couple albums I cannot upload here at the moment- but as soon as I have the ability to do so I will upload them.

Daniel Berthiaume - Arizona (2010)

Another fine album from Daniel Berthiaume, I believe this one is self released. It has some nice, relaxing tracks on it.

Steve Gruskin: Interludes - Gentle Rain (1991)

Another great release from the Interludes: Soothing Sounds of Nature and Music series! Relaxing rain, sounds of the harp and synthesizers make up this release. A definite listening is advised and using this to help you relax or sleep is great!

Steve Gruskin - Hymns By The Sea: Gentle Waves

Hello. I'm back with another release from Steve Gruskin, who worked on the Interludes series. This is Hymns By the Sea: Gentle Waves, a collection of Religious songs done in harp and synth with waves in the background. It is nice to listen to.

Dick Sutphen and Upper Astral - Soulmates (1985)

This tape has one of the same instrumentals from the "Finding your soulmate" tape I uploaded a while back, and this tape also has a meditation/soulmate finding program by Dick Sutphen on it- This includes some music by Upper Astral not heard on the other Soulmate tape.

David Naegele - Dawning Of The New Age (1983)

Another great album by David Naegele.  Note that this one sounds VERY similar to Side B of the "Aquamarine" Tape. This means that it was not Robert Slap who did that album, but it was David Naegele instead.

Special Thanks to Tim from Adelaide for being so generous to send me the MP3s to this great album!

Dick Sutphen & Upper Astral- Emergence Into The Light (1984)

Today, I have another guided meditation tape, accompanied with music from Upper astral, music which I believe are tracks from "Finding Your Soul Mate" and "Journey To The Edge Of The Universe".

Speaking of Finding Your Soul Mate, David Storrs informed me that the "Finding Your Soulmate" tape I have up here is actually one in a series of tapes, which means there is more out there!

Bray Ghiglia - Lunar Goddess: Music To Mellow Your Mind (1994)

Another album here, this time it's an all-flute album by Bray Ghiglia (Related to Suzanne Ghiglia(?)) from 1994. It is various types of flutes being played, although there is no nature sounds or anything in the background, it's only flute. It is played beautifully.

Michael Fraioli/Steve Gruskin- Interludes: Timeless Sea (1991, GAAC)

This is (as far as I know) a release only done by Great American Audio Corp, includes Synthesizers, Cello and Flute accompanied with sounds of the ocean. Released on CD in 1991 by Great American Audio, Produced and Composed by Steven Gruskin, Cello performance by Michael Fraioli. More from the "Interludes" series to come, I bought a few more a few days ago.

Daniel Berthiaume - The Sacred Fire, 1992 (Merry Christmas!)

Holiday Udate #2! This time, here is the 1992 release, The Sacred Fire, AKA Le Feu Sacre, by Canadian artist Daniel Berthiaume. This one is quite nice, heavy synth work here! Hope you enjoy it!

I took a look at Daniel Berthiaume's other works, too. It's nice, if I obtain any I may put them on my other blog.

Robert Slap- Oriental Garden (Musical Sounds of Relaxation)

Discovered another Musical Sounds of Relaxation tape I have never heard of before. Briefly listened to it, I enjoyed it quite a bit. It's called Oriental Garden.

Oriental Gardens

Some of the music from this tape was later released as "Oriental Gardens" on a 4 CD set, called "The Ultimate New Age Collection,"  distributed by Distributions Madacy, Inc. in 1994. They have some other New Age releases, which I am to assume are all Robert Slap. Such titles as "I am The Sea", which I think might be "You Are The Sea," and "Winterscapes" might be "Snow Dreams".
