Musical Sounds Of Relaxation - High As A Kite (1989)

Very excited to post this one up! I've always loved the Musical Sounds Of Relaxation series, and thanks to some help from Happydogs (who has unearthed more than half the releases on this blog), we have two more additions to this wonderful series!

Here is "High As A Kite", and saying this tape is wonderful is an understatement. It's the same great production you'd expect from robert slap, with the lovely ethereal arpeggios and wonderful melodic synths, and even nature sounds. I favor side A over side B, but they are both absolutely magnificent.

Up next is "Emerald Green!"

Soothing Sounds - Stormy Weather (2002)

I don't remember ever getting this album, but I believe I borrowed it from my library a while back and ripped it to my computer. It's a  nice album, features piano, sax and some other instruments with the sounds of rain in the background. It's a bit more melodic and dramatic than most of the releases here, and I wouldn't recommend it for meditation or yoga. The music definitely does make you think of a bad thunderstorm!

The Sounds Of Nature - Four Seasons (1988)

"The soothing sounds of the four seasons: Spring - gentle rain, Summer - frogs, crickets and ducks in a summer ambience, Fall - breeze in the trees, birds chirping, Winter - a snow storm. The sounds of the seasons will tend to calm and relax you as you identify with the wonders of each season. A beautiful aid to visualization, and ideal for blocking out environmental noises and distractions."

Four Seasons (1988)

Another great nature recording. 4 tracks are included on this release, each sounds taken in a forest in each of the four seasons, Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall - and what a nice recording it is. I find myself listening to the "Winter" recording while sipping hot chocolate in a blanket.

The Sounds Of Nature - Gentle Rain (1988)

"Listen to the distant crash of thunder during a mountain rainstorm; there is something romantic, soothing and comforting in the sounds. The peaceful sounds of the gentle rain lull you as the essence of the storm clears your mind and refreshes you, invoking a sense of tranquility. The rainstorm can be a beautiful aid for visualization and is ideal for blocking out environmental noises and distractions."

Happy belated Thanksgiving!  We are back again with some nature sound recordings, this is the first of three we just got. This one has nice, relaxing sounds of the rain and thunder, a sound which I have loved using to help me sleep in years past.

Interludes- Ocean Waves (Soothing Sounds of Nature and Music) Gruskin/Vinnie Della-Rocca, GAA 1991)

Another great Interludes album, this time featuring synthesizers by an unknown artist (most likely composer Steve Gruskin) as well as beautiful flute by Vinnie Della-Rocca. More great sounds of the ocean.

(I own the CD but I currently do not have the pictures on the computer I'm using, so I'm posting up the cassette cover, CD art is in the rar file)

Michael Fraioli/Steve Gruskin- Interludes: Thunder & Rain (1991)

Another great edition in the "Interludes" series released by the Great American Audio Corp, Cello and synths played, accompanied by rain and thunder, I  enjoy this one a lot since I love the sound of rain.

Robert Slap & Suzanne Ghiglia- Shared Blessings

Flutes, synthesizers, and whale calls! Interesting, huh? It features Suzanne Ghiglia on the flute. Another release on Valley of The Sun was put out by someone with the name "Bray Ghiglia".. Maybe it's an alias? Or it could be someone related.
